Online Music
Online music is a fairly new thing. You know there was a time when if you wanted some new music, you had to trek on down to the record store and buy a new vinyl disc to spin on your turntable. You couldn't even listen to it before you bought it and you certainly couldn't return it if you didn't like it. No, you had lost your four bucks and that was just tough luck. Of course, this was all way before online music.
Online music has revolutionized the music business. Online music has put the consumer in charge. Online music has broken the back of the mega music producing company known way back when as record labels. Online music has been the greatest thing to happen to the music buying and consuming public since the eight track tape got scrapped. Online music has also been a boon to many budding music artists, although the established bands and their corporate masters have taken a decidedly more sanguine view of online music than the consumer has.
Little, non-commercial independent bands can now get their music out to the general public without having to sell their souls to the record company. Of course, the days of big cash advances from record companies are gone now, thanks to online music, but since it was only one in a million who hit that jackpot, it really is no big loss to most musicians. Online music has democratized the music industry. online music has taken control of a band's future out of the hands of hipster doofuses and put it back in the hands of the bands themselves where it belongs.
Online music is the ticket to freedom for the musicians of the future. Gone are all the massive expenses associated with production and distribution with online music. Because of this, online music has removed a huge obstacle that stood squarely in the path of any band that wanted to reach a bigger audience. before online music, record companies, because of the massive investment required, had to be very careful about what bands they signed to a record deal. And this elimination process did not always work out in the listening public's favor. Too many times, record companies played it safe and great bands producing great music were left out, passed over and lost. but that was all before online music.
If you are interested in listening to or buying online music, there are many, many sites online that can meet your needs. In addition to the major music retailing websites there are literally hundreds of thousands of independent websites offering online music. Some online music is even still free. Imagine that...
