The clothing guidelines for women in business have changed drastically in recent decades. In the recent past, even secretaries were expected to dress with propriety and restraint. Any good department store will offer choices in clothing for business women. Although good clothing for women in business can be expensive, watching for sales and mark-downs can bring savings. Fine business women's clothing can also be found in major discount stores; it simply requires a little extra shopping time. Carefully purchased simple clothing for business women can be altered in appearance with attentionn to accessories...a different blouse or sweather with a suit, a bright scarf or neckpiece on simple clothing for women in business  can seem to extend the wardrobe.

Although present standards allow more leeway in terms of clothing for business women, a wise woman in business will choose her clothing carefully to meet standards of both style and taste in business women's clothing.
