Classic Films
Classic films. Everybody loves classic films. But what is it that makes some fils classic films? Is it the stories that makes them classic films? Is it the stars that makes them classic films? Is it the directors that makes the classic films? Is it the locations that makes them classic films? Or is it combination of these factors that makes them classic films? Who knows? But one thing we do know about classic films is that they have stood the test of time and for some reason or reasons they continue to resonate with audiences. Some classic films were not even very popular when they were first released in theaters. For whatever reason, the audiences at the time did not find them that appealing or compelling.
But since they are now considered classic films, we can assume that attitude has changed over time and these films have become classic films because people over the years began to appreciate them more and more until they achieved the status of classic films. Some classic films just grow on you. I guess some classic films just need to age a bit and gradually sink into the public's subconscious. These classic films have worked a subtle magic and transformed themselves from unpopular current works to the time honored classic film.
Some of these classic films were just not appreciated in their day. Maybe the story line was too far out. Or maybe the stars that appeared in them were out of favor at the time. Or maybe the film was just too advanced for its day. But for whatever the reason these films, that are now considered classic films, were just not popular. And nobody at the time of their release would have been able to predict that they would one day be considered classic films. But here they are all these years later, venerated as classic films.
Some classic films were huge successes at the time of their release and have remained popular to this day. Their popularity at release isn't the reason they are considered classic films. Many popular films have faded from memory and have not become classic films. No, these films are considered classic films for many and varied reasons and many of them are just as popular today as the day the made their first appearance on the silver screen. These popular films have stood the test of time to become classic films.
