Infertility and Pregnancy

Many couples these days want to start and family and try to start a family only to find that for some reason they are having issues around infertility and pregnancy.
More and more couples these days are seeking the assistance of fertility experts because of they are struggling with infertility and pregnancy. They desire pregnancy, but it just is not happening for them. It is a mystery why some women are extremely fertile and some are in emotional crisis because of infertility and pregnancy or the lack of pregnancy.

Many advances have been made in the area of infertility and pregnancy. There are many ways to approach infertility and pregnancy these days. One approach being, fertility drugs. There has been huge success in the area of infertility and pregnancy with drug intervention. Although, pregnancy often result after a period of time following the fertility drug program. But often a woman gets pregnant with not one baby, but multiple babies. This is one of the drawbacks or risks of this intervention, but the probability of putting infertility behind you and pregnancy in front of you is highly motivating if you want to have a baby.

Another approach to infertility and pregnancy is surgery. Many women have a simple blockage of the fallopian tubes, that with a simple surgical procedure, can be corrected. Sometimes, this procedure is required more than once, but is well known for its success. Some women who have tried to conceive for many years have the procedure and infertility is a problem of the past and pregnancy is the happy outcome. This same woman might need to repeat the surgery in order to get pregnant again, but there are many cases that after one or two surgeries, the fallopian tubes are permanently cleared and the woman can go on to subsequent pregnancies without intervention.

Sometimes, as a last resort, women with or without a partner can turn to IVF (in vitro fertilization). This procedure has been highly successful, but is also known to result in pregnancy with multiples. There is a high incidence of pregnancy loss from IVF. But sometimes a woman will have multiple successful implantations, but one or more resulting fetuses will be lost. Sometimes this is due to intentional embryo reduction. This is a process where a needle is inserted either trans-abdominal or trans-vaginal and one or more of the embryos receives an injection of 0.9% sodium chloride solution or 0.9% saline solution and these embryos die leaving the remaining one or two to develop normally. Infertility and pregnancy can be a very emotionally charged issue and can either end with a happy mom and healthy baby or babies or it can go on for years, never resulting in a successful full term pregnancy.
