Pregnancy and Childbirth

Pregnancy and childbirth are meant to go hand in hand. For every woman who becomes pregnant, childbirth is not necessarily the outcome. There are certain circumstances that influence whether pregnancy will result in childbirth, but under most conditions, childbirth is the natural and desired outcome of pregnancy.
Pregnancy and childbirth will be a more positive experience if attention is paid to having a healthy pregnancy and being prepared for childbirth. Pregnancy and childbirth are different for every woman. And pregnancy and childbirth can be different for a single woman for each pregnancy and childbirth experience.

Pregnancy and childbirth is part of the natural condition for most females as it is the way to procreate and continue the existence of human kind. Women are hardwired for pregnancy and childbirth. It is only the social condition that interferes with the occurrence of pregnancy and childbirth or some physical health factor that makes pregnancy and childbirth not possible.

Pregnancy and childbirth are very different social, physical and emotional experiences for women, depending upon where in the world the woman lives. In some parts of the world, pregnancy and childbirth are so matter of fact that nothing out of the ordinary happens. This doesn't mean that there are very important cultural beliefs and practices around pregnancy and childbirth, because there are, but they are not out of the ordinary. They are, in fact very much the ordinary. In other cultures, pregnancy and childbirth are so celebrated, that the woman is made to feel very special and is pampered and catered to due to her pregnancy and upcoming event of childbirth.

In some parts of the world, if a woman is unlucky enough to have a certain number of children already, pregnancy and childbirth is very unwelcome and will usually end up with only the pregnancy and then termination of that pregnancy. In addition, in certain parts of the world, an unplanned pregnancy or pregnancy out of wedlock might result in very severe consequences for the woman. Even in very developed countries in recent history, pregnancy and childbirth out of wedlock created a negative stigma and harsh treatment of both the woman and the child. Thankfully, in more recent times, pregnancy and childbirth for single women and lesbian couples are much more accepted and the children of these women can experience the same love and acceptance by family and society as any others.

Pregnancy and childbirth should be joyous for all involved. Unfortunately, not everyone is privileged enough to have all they need to have a healthy and positive pregnancy and childbirth, but with the support of family, friends and community, woman and baby that results from a pregnancy and childbirth will be able to get what they need in terms of emotional, physical and material needs and be able to enjoy the special excitement and anticipation that pregnancy and childbirth can bring.
