Web 2.0 is said to have four levels of usability. Level three is only operative on the internet. Sites like eBay, Wikipedia and Skype belong to this level. These are effective because of their focus on networking. Applications in level two can be used offline but gain advantages when they go online. FlickR, the photo sharing site is one such example. Sites like iTunes belong to level one, as they can be used offline but increase features online. Level 0 applications work equally well offline and online. Google Maps and MapQuest are such sites.
