Planning A Wedding Within A Low Budget
It is important that we have the budget in mind while indulging in wedding shopping and purchases. After all, a wedding budget is one of the most important aspects of a wedding. We should in fact, set in the budget even before we start with our wedding planning and expenditure.
With the costs of wedding increasing at rocket speed, we tend to get carried away when spending on the most precious event of our lives. Hence we should set a budget primarily, and restrict ourselves to it as much as possible. There are various ways in order to spend less on our wedding.
Firstly, while purchasing anything, we must compare the prices. This is the best way to cut down costs. In addition, if we plan our own wedding we tend to spend lesser than if someone else plans it for us.
While choosing wedding flowers, we should opt for those, which are available in that season and are found in the local market. In this way, we tend to spend less on flowers. If we make the flower arrangements ourselves, we tend to spend lesser than what we spend on wedding florists.
While choosing the wedding dress, we notice that as soon as the word wedding is attached to a dress, its price shoots up. Hence during September to October, the homecoming or the prom dress is a good alternative to the wedding dress. During the off peak wedding season, you may notice that the wedding dress costs less. Renting or borrowing from relatives is another cheap option. Borrowing grandmothers wedding dress, if in a good condition is not a bad idea at all.
It is better to buy wedding dresses from departmental stores rather than designer boutiques which cost much more. You can find the newest and the trendiest item at lower prices in departmental stores.
While thinking of the menu on the reception dinner, you should keep in mind the pasta, chicken, and rice cost less than most dishes. Thereby, serving pasta, rice, or chicken is a much cheaper option. Buffet dinners cost much less than the sit down dinner. Buffets also give you the opportunity for second and third helpings, which makes it all the more desirable. Rather than renting an expensive place, it is always better if you can rent or borrow a backyard of garden for wedding reception from friends.
Another way to save money is to opt for wedding cakes as desserts. Rather than spending once more on desserts, you could just cut the wedding cake and serve it after the meal. It is one of the most delicious options as a dessert.
Hence make sure you keep your budget in mind while spending. These tips should help you restrict your expenditure and plan a lovely wedding within low expenses.
