Film

Everybody loves a good film In fact, some people even love a bad film It's just got to be a film and someone will love it. Everybody has their favorite film For some it is the latest film release just chock full of computer generated special effects. For some it is the acting in the film that makes it great. For some it is the beautiful scenery and exotic locales that make a film special to them. But whatever it is, people do love film. It is hard to say what makes a great film. It is all so subjective. Of course, there are books and college courses all dedicated to telling you what makes a good film, but in the end, a film is great if you think it is. It is not the amount of money a film generates that makes it great.

So many truly bad films have made tones of money and captured the public's imagination to be able to say that money generated is what makes a film great. Also, it is not awards won that makes a film great. There are just too many awards and award shows out there desperately looking for a film to give an award to so you cannot judge a film by the number of awards it has won. And you certainly can't go by the critics' reviews and opinions to judge whether a film is great or not because they are just people writing their own opinions, just tying to make a living and it doesn't mean that they really know anything more or that their opinion about a film is any more valid that the average man or woman on the street.

In fact, in some cases their opinion is less valid that the average man or woman on the street when it comes to a film. No, the only thing that makes a film great is what it means to you personally. What ever it is about a particular film that makes it resonate for you is what makes a film great, no matter what the film is. A film can be great to you and that film might not be like by anyone else in the whole world. It doesn't matter. The important thing is that you love that film for whatever reason.

It doesn't even matter why you love a film. You don't have to have any big important intellectual reasons for loving a particular film. The important thing is that you have an emotional bond with that film and that is what makes it a great film.
